Worship

"Let's see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the Big Day approaching."

Hebrews 10:25 (MSG)

Worship at Bunker Hill First Baptist is an important time.  We come here to meet with the Lord in a corporate way and to sing and speak his praises for only God is worthy of praise.

Worship style at BHFBC is a blend of the traditional and contemporary with something for everyone.  The typical service finds us singing praise and worhip music, hymns, reading God's word, and listening to solid biblical preaching based on the whole counsel of God.  There is Children's Church for age two out of diapers through kindergarten and Club Jesus for First through Fifth graders.  We have opportunities for people to serve by singing in the choir, helping with the children and much more.

Because we believe that people learn in different ways, we are a multi-media church that utilizes visual and auditory presentation to enhance the worship experience.  We also provide for hearing impaired worshippers by the use of a head-set audio augmentation device that picks up the microphones.  For example, we use wireless microphones during congregational praise and petition time so that those using the head-sets can hear everything that goes on.

A proverb states that, "A good meal ought to begin with hunger."    As we approach with a hunger to meet God we will be filled and satiated.  We can then go in the power of the Spirit to fulfill the Great Commission.   But if we come to worship filled up with our own self-sufficiency or full of preoccupied thoughts, we probably won't experience meaningful worship.  Are you hungry for God in your life?  Come join us for worhip service at 10:30 a.m. Sundays.
